The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and organised Human Resources Administration Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term, part-time basis, covering a period of parental leave. Reporting directly to the HR Coordinator, you will play a vital role in keeping our HR operations running smoothly – from maintaining records and driving compliance to coordinating training and recruitment activities.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Documentation & Record-Keeping
- Maintain and manage all HR documentation including employee records, HR forms, and vehicle maintenance checklists
- Ensure all records are up to date, stored correctly, and compliant with organisational and legislative requirements
- Audits & Compliance
- Conduct routine audits of HR documentation and report outcomes to the HR Coordinator
- Identify and flag risks or non-compliance issues in a timely manner
- Training & Recruitment Coordination
- Book and track First Aid and CPR training for staff; maintain compliance records in Employment Hero
- Coordinate interview scheduling and reference checks as part of recruitment processes
What we are looking for
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to engage sensitively across diverse backgrounds
- High level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality requirements
- Demonstrated professionalism and personal accountability
- Understanding of WH&S obligations and NDIS Code of Conduct requirements
- Active commitment to child safety and knowledge of relevant legislation
- Cultural competence and experience working with diverse communities
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Criminal History Screening (Yellow Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Experience in the disability, community services, or not-for-profit sector
- Familiarity with NDIS systems and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS platforms, particularly Employment Hero
- Knowledge of HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, and records management
