Walkers Club – Monday 6.45am to 8.45am
This program is a for people who love exploring the outdoors while staying active. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just starting out, this club offers a chance to meet like-minded individuals, enjoy scenic routes, and improve your health. Walkers Club is all about embracing nature, fostering friendships, and stepping into a healthier lifestyle one stride at a time!
Line Dancing – Monday 12.00pm to 3.00pm
This program offers participants the opportunity to develop dance techniques that build skills, confidence, and mobility. Through exploring a variety of dance styles, participants will work toward mid and end of year showcase performances. Designed to nurture personal growth, the program encourages self-expression and self-awareness in a fun and supportive environment.
The Press Club- Monday 9.00am to 11.00am
The Press Club is a dynamic space where members can explore their creativity through social media, podcasting, and storytelling. By learning communication and social skills, participants gain confidence, build connections, and amplify their voices. Whether sharing personal stories, reporting on community events, or creating engaging content, this club empowers individuals to shine in the digital media landscape while fostering inclusion and collaboration.
Tuesday Programs
Brush and Bloom: Tuesday 9.00am to 12.00pm
Like all our programs, Brush and Bloom is tailored around the goals and interests of each participant. With a wide variety of art mediums on offer, this program provides a fun and social outlet for creative expression. Participants will develop diverse skills, build meaningful connections, and stay actively engaged in their community. Activities span cultural exploration, sculpture, woodwork, science and nature studies, event planning, upcycling and recycling, textile and material creations, and much more.
Science Club – Tuesday 1:00pm to 3:00pm
This is a place for curious minds to explore, experiment, and discover the wonders of the world around us. Through hands-on activities, exciting experiments, and engaging discussions, participants dive into a variety of scientific fields while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It’s a fun and interactive way to learn, connect with others, and fuel a lifelong love of science!
Wednesday Programs
Mixed Bag Fun – Wednesday 10am to 12pm
Keep your toes guessing! Mixed Bag Fun is a rotating program that refreshes every 4–6 weeks, bringing fresh activities and new experiences to keep things exciting. Participants explore a diverse range of activities including yoga, sewing, gardening, woodwork, volunteering, job searching, and much more. Underpinning it all is a commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact on adult learning through insightful, practical, and meaningful experiences that truly matter.
Fitness / Swimming Club – Wednesday 1pm to 3pm
This program is dedicated to promoting physical wellbeing in a fun, social, and inclusive environment. Participants enjoy a range of high-quality exercises tailored to individual needs, helping to build strength, improve flexibility, boost stamina, and support mental wellbeing. Seasonal swimming adds an exciting dimension to the program throughout the year. Whether on land or in the water, this is a great way to stay active, connect with others, and embrace a healthier lifestyle!
Social Club – Wednesday 4pm to 7pm
Social Club is all about building genuine connections and having a great time! This welcoming program brings participants together to meet new people, share experiences, and take part in a variety of exciting activities. From group outings to themed events, there are plenty of opportunities to socialise, make lasting friendships, and enjoy a real sense of community belonging.
Thursday Programs
Baking – Thursday 9am to 12pm
This program gives participants the opportunity to develop practical baking skills, including equipment handling, baking techniques, and kitchen safety. From sweet cakes, desserts, and slices to savoury pies and pastries, there is something for every taste. Participants are also encouraged to create their own recipes and desserts, fostering autonomy, decision-making, creativity, and self-satisfaction.
Beyond the kitchen bench, this program has a proud history of real-world achievements. Over the years, participants have taken on catering opportunities, submitted entries to local shows and fundraisers, and created delicious Christmas hampers to take home and share with family. A true celebration of skill, creativity, and community!
Women’s Group – Thursday 1pm to 3pm
Women’s Group is a safe, welcoming space where participants feel comfortable, supported, and connected. This program explores a range of topics relevant to women, including health, relationships, available services, and rights. Through open discussion and shared experience, participants are provided with practical support, tips, and tools to navigate everyday life with confidence. The program also focuses on developing social and communication skills, building community connections, and empowering each participant to work toward and achieve their personal goals.
Friday Programs
A Heart-full Journey – Friday 9am to 11am
A Heart-Full Journey is a safe and trusting space designed for individuals seeking greater self-awareness and personal growth. Participants are encouraged to express themselves, share their thoughts and experiences, and support one another through open and meaningful discussion. The program provides practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges, setting, and achieving personal goals, and developing a deeper understanding of oneself and personal capabilities. It is a nurturing and empowering experience that inspires each participant to grow into the very best version of themselves.
Saturday Program
Social Saturday is held monthly (9am – 3pm)
Social Saturday is a monthly program designed to expand social connections and provide greater access to the broader community. Once a month, participants head out and about to explore exciting local destinations such as Theresa Creek Dam, the Capella Cultural Centre, the Springsure Mountains, and more. With a full day from 9.00am to 3.00pm, there is plenty of time to explore, connect, and make lasting memories. A great opportunity to get out, have fun, and experience everything the region has to offer!
