About the Role

Yumba Bimbi Support Services is an NDIS Registered Provider operating across the rural and remote communities of the Central Highlands and Western Qld region. The Accounts Officer is responsible for providing financial and administrative services of a recurring nature to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate financial operations. The role is to be performed with a high standard of services and the Accounts Officer must comply with established accounting policies and procedures. The Accounts Officer duties may vary depending on the specific needs of Yumba Bimbi Support Services. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Accounts Receivable

• Accounts Payable

• Monthly bank reconciliations for all YBSS accounts

• Preparation of Invoices

• Debt collection

• Follow and maintain the YBSS Asset Management Plan

• Preparation of fortnightly payroll

• Ensure compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct

Selection Criteria:

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality, Safety & You

• Working with Children check blue card (or ability to obtain one)

• Criminal History Screening yellow card (or ability to obtain one)

• Current and full First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain one)

• Demonstrated well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to work with minimal supervision, identify priorities and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.

• Effective computer skills in XERO including the ability to create, operate, extract reports, and interpret databases, spreadsheets, and systems.

• Proven commitment to the principles and practices of WHS, customer service, quality management, risk management and human rights advocation.

• A relevant minimum qualification of a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping (or similar) or equivalent experience in an accounts role.
